Urban Baby shoot
When Tim's parents came to Vancouver we got some photos taken and at the time they were advertizing a photo contest so we entered Torben. A couple of weeks later we got a call from Emma Lee the editor of Urban Baby and Toddler Magazine, a local Vancouver mag, see www.urbanbaby.ca, telling us he won. As part of the prize he will be on the cover of Urban Baby and Toddler Magazine! We did the photo shoot today. The photographer was Elayne. Meanwhile the Beaty Biodiversity Centre just got this big grant for training and as part of that I just wrote a proposal to put on an 'Intro to film making for scientist" workshop. I decided to try to make a short video on the photo shoot to try out the software and effects. It is my first try...but it is kind of cute.

Welcome to T-Monkey
In light of our upcoming trip to Taiwan and because I am going back on parental leave – I am starting the Torben blog. Torben and I are going to have FUN exploring Taiwan (and hopefully China) and especially all the beaches and swimming pools. Family and friends are so far away that I want you all to keep up with what is happening in the world of the Torbs. It will include answers to questions such as, how he is adjusting to life abroad and how does he like the heat, if he had fun on our trip to the beach, etc. I know, I know... only weird people who are obsessed with their kids have ‘baby blogs’ but yeah, I guess I am a little Torben obsessed, there certainly could we worse things.
